For a long time, television producers, especially digital 100% television producers, have had to use expensive solutions or limited cloud solutions to automate your signals online.
Casper CG comes to solve the problems that start-up digital media companies mainly face, as it is a free piece of software, which does not require a hardware support state-of-the-art to work.
This piece of software works with Windows or Linux, Its installation is simple but its configuration does require a medium level in terms of the administration of digital systems related to multimedia.
CASPER CG 2.0 SERVER
It basically consists of the following modules:
- Entrance: the producers they read, render, and play content such as videos, animations, images, and audio in a frame (and/or audio) buffer, known as a layer.
- Transform: the module mixer takes layers from one or more producers and performs various video and audio transformations such as color transformations, deinterlacing, scaling, transitions, image adjustments, and audio adjustments on each layer before compositing them together (and optionally interlacing them again ).
- Exit: the consumers receive the composite frames and display them on a specified output, eg a window on your PC monitor or an SDI card (Blackmagic hardware compatible 100%). All functionality is controlled through network commands sent with the Protocol AMCP, either by the CasparCG Client Software, or by your own custom software or system console commands.
